The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for issuing executive orders while in custody, alleging that his actions stem from greed and insecurity. BJP leaders, including Dr. Harshvardhan and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, have called for Kejriwal’s resignation on moral grounds, arguing that holding onto power despite being in jail reflects his selfishness.
Furthermore, BJP leader Harish Khurana accused Kejriwal of playing the victim card and highlighted corruption allegations against him. Khurana emphasized that Kejriwal’s orders from jail are inappropriate and called for strict action against him.
Despite these criticisms, Arvind Kejriwal’s supporters point out that his concerns for public welfare remain evident, as seen in his directives regarding healthcare services during his custody. The Enforcement Directorate is set to investigate the legality of Kejriwal’s orders.
Amidst these developments, the BJP has organized protests demanding Kejriwal’s resignation, citing allegations of corruption and dishonesty. They assert that Kejriwal must step down from his position as his governance is marred by controversies and alleged malpractices.
