Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, flagged off the first group of pilgrims. With over 4603 devotees in the inaugural batch from Jammu Base camp , the pilgrimage to the cave shrine of Lord Shiva in the southern Himalayas of Kashmir started with enthusiasm and under strict security arrangements.
Our correspondent reports that 1st batch of 4603 Amarnath Yatra including 231 Vehicle’s left from jammu base camp towards pahalgam and Baltal today.
1933 pilgrim’s heading for Baltal were the first to leave the Jammu in 115 vehicle’s, followed by the 2nd convoy of 116 vehicle’s carrying 4603 pilgrim’s from Pahalgam
